Bye bye Tiger, hello Leopard.
Phew! Well not quite plain sailing, most notably with MAMP Pro. But almost all is well now. Still have a weird problem when launching phpmyadmin from MAMP Pro - it goes to a web page which reports:
Forbidden You don’t have permission to access /MAMP/frame.php on this server.
But if I cut-paste the URL and use Safari…it works. Weird with a capital ‘wee’ eh?
Perhaps it’s what I’m doing, perhaps it’s the removal of Google Desktop for Mac (I never fell in love with it and the promise of better Spotlight convinced me to dump it), but the Mac seems significantly faster/not disk thrashing (or even accessing).
Off to go and try the Time Machine…Breww Ha Ha — ULtimate POWER!

Sat Oct 27 2007 at 4:41 pmUpdate: The lovely people at MAMP Pro answered both the problems I had and now MAMP Pro plays nicely with Leopard.
One was a change to a conf file, er, the other, er was something I didn’t write down — but I can dig it out of email if needed.
Mon Nov 12 2007 at 1:46 pmStill getting some Win-style crumples from applications that I think are likely AOK. Looking forward to 10.5.something…
